Problem

🚩 Veterinary receptionists juggle numerous tasks each day. This fragmented workflow slows responses, increases errors, and leads to inefficiency and burnout.

🚩 Incomplete or mismatched bookings force staff to spend extra time verifying details, causing scheduling delays, lost revenue from unused appointment slots, and reduced client satisfaction that can harm the clinic’s reputation.

Solution

✅ I designed a pet management dashboard that enables receptionists to manage all daily tasks in one centralized platform to their stream workflow.

✅ I introduced a syncing feature that automatically matches new requests to existing patient records when specific parameters are met. This reduces duplicate entries and removes the need for manual record searching.

Research

To collect a general understanding of the pain points receptionists faced, I read through comments of open forums such as reddit (since my resources and timeline were limited). In terms of design, I researched existing vet platforms and dashboard design trends to gathering inspiration from a variety of platforms.

User Flow & Mockups

I started rough sketching some ideas. This helps me organize my thoughts, think about edge cases, and the features I want to prioritize.

sketches

I translated my sketches into a user flow that outlined primary interactions and page redirects, focusing on how a receptionist would go about managing new appointment requests when they login each morning.

AI Mockups

I used AI to generate a few visual mockups. This helped me quickly validate my intended layout without spending hours experimenting in Figma. I added notes directly to the mockup to highlight elements I liked and raise functionality questions.

Early Low-Fidelity Designs

These are some of my early-low fidelity designs. I worked with a PM to review functionality, collect feedback and questions that would shape future iterations and the final product.

Design System & Branding

I created a design system and branding framework for Fetch, ensuring consistency across the interface and establishing a reusable library of components and modules that streamline future iterations and support scalability across the product.
