Park La Brea Vet
Website Redesign & Booking Flow
Learn how I redesigned a veterinarian landing page and booking flow to accommodate both new and returning patients.
Learn how I designed the back-end dashboard here.
🚩 Problem
Park La Brea's non-standard UI, and generic booking form that requires post-submission follow-up, risks increase friction, errors, and slows the booking process.
💡 Hypothesis
If we update the website’s UI, and improve the booking flow, we can earn user trust, streamline appointments. This will increase leads and conversions for the clinic.
Discovery / Research
I conducted an informal audit by taking screenshots of each page and adding sticky notes with questions and areas for improvement. This helps me organize my thoughts and quickly identify potential problem areas.

After I gathering my initial thoughts, I conducted a competitive analysis on how other veterinary offices offer their services Similar to my discovery phase, I will take screenshots of areas of the UI that I liked, and why I think the design works.

User Flow
Before sketching, I mapped out the user flow start from when the user clicks ‘Request Appointment’ to form submission. This helps me think through each step and account for potential edge cases.

Sketches & Wireframes
I sketched out and wire framed my ideas. This allowed me to explore landing page and form layouts without committing the time to mock them up in Figma.

Design System
I developed a design system that I derived from the existing logo and color palette. I built a reusable UI component library to ensure consistency, improve scalability, and accelerate both design and development workflows.
